Participation in Wisconsin

In June 2022, the Wisconsin Department of Justice applied to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance requesting funding and technical assistance to implement Justice Counts in Wisconsin. As stated in Wisconsin’s grant application, the Wisconsin Department of Justice is using Justice Counts “to work within the criminal justice environment to expand data accessibility of real-time data while still maintaining the privacy and security of individuals and criminal justice agencies.”
